Common requests

Start here

  • Something isn't right

A paver rocking, a patch of turf that won't take, or something not on your plan? Tell us soon, with a photo if you can, and we'll look into it with you.

  • Change or cancel a booking

Ring us. The more notice you give, the easier it is, and we'd rather move you than lose you.

  • Getting ready for the day

What to move, what to tell us, and what the crew does when they get there.

  • Keeping it looking good

Lost your care notes, or not sure how often to water? Ring us. Or book regular garden care.

What to expect

On the day

A few small things make the job go faster and keep your place safe.

  1. 01

    Before we arrive

Move cars, bins and outdoor furniture away from the work area. Keep pets inside or away from the gate.

  2. 02

    Tell us what's underground

If you know where pipes, cables or an old septic tank run, tell us. We locate services before we dig either way.

  3. 03

    Water and access

We use your outside tap and a power point. Leave the side gate unlocked so the crew can get started.

  4. 04

    We check the ground

The crew checks the soil and levels before starting. If they find something nobody could see, like rock, we show you first.

  5. 05

    Tidy every day

Paths are cleared, tools put away and the day's waste gone or stacked neatly before we leave.

  6. 06

    Before we go

We walk it with you, and you get care notes on watering, mowing and feeding.

FAQ

After the job

Some of the new turf is going yellow. What do I do?
Check your care notes first. New turf mostly goes yellow when it dries out in the first few weeks. Lift a corner: if the soil under it is dry, water more. If it's still yellow after that, ring us and send a photo.
A new plant has died. Did you plant it wrong?
Maybe not. New plants can die from too little water, too much water, or a hot spell straight after planting. Ring us and send a photo. We'll look into it with you and tell you honestly what we think happened.
A paver has sunk or started rocking. Is that normal?
No. Paving laid on a proper base should stay put. Ring us and send a photo, and we'll look into it with you.
What happens if it rains on the day?
Heavy rain can stop work. Wet clay can't be dug or packed down properly, and laying turf or pavers on it causes problems later. If we need to move the day, we ring you before the crew is due, not after.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not, once the plan is signed off. Leave the gate unlocked, keep pets inside, and let us use the outside tap and a power point. We'll ring you if anything comes up.
Where does all the green waste go?
We take it away. On garden care visits, it's taken away on the day and it's included in the price. On bigger jobs, we tell you in the quote how waste will be handled.
Can I get photos of the job?
If we took photos on your job, ask and we'll send them. They're yours to keep.
How do I make a complaint?
Ring us or use the form on this page and tell us what happened. It comes straight to us, and we'd much rather hear it from you first.
