Sound familiar?

You're out with the hose every evening, half the garden still dries out, and the old system mostly waters the fence.

What we check first

The ground comes first

Every part of a garden drinks differently. The lawn, the sunny beds and the shady beds each get their own zone, set to the soil and the sun. Drip lines sit under the mulch, so water goes to the roots and not the path.

  1. 01 Water

By hand, by tap timer or by a system. We plan for a dry summer, not a wet spring.

  2. 02 Sun and shade

Lawns and plants need the right amount of light. We watch how the sun moves across the yard.

  3. 03 Soil

Sand, clay or sandstone. It decides what grows, what drains and what a wall can sit on.

  4. 04 What's underground

Pipes and cables are located before anyone digs. No burst water main on day one.

Plan of a garden watering system. A controller on the house wall feeds two zones. Zone one is the lawn, with pop-up sprays at the corners. Zone two is the garden beds, with a drip line under the mulch.HOUSECONTROLLERZONE 1 · LAWNPOP-UP SPRAYSZONE 2 · BEDSDRIP UNDER MULCH
Lawn and beds on their own zones: sprays for the lawn, drip under the mulch in the beds.

When the ground gets skipped

What goes wrong

One setting for the whole garden drowns some plants and starves others. Sprays in the wrong place waste water and wet walls, windows and paths.

Not sure what's going wrong? The garden check takes a couple of minutes.

FAQ

What people ask us

Do I need a full system, or will a tap timer do?
For a small garden, a tap timer with drip lines is often enough. Bigger gardens with a lawn and several beds usually do better with zones and a controller. We look at the garden and tell you which suits.
Can you fix my old system?
Yes. We test the old system, find the leaks, blocked drippers and sprays in the wrong place, and repair it. If parts of it can't be saved, we'll tell you before we replace anything.
Won't a system waste water?
Not if it's set up right. The lawn, sunny beds and shady beds each get their own zone. Drip lines sit under the mulch, so water goes to the roots, not the path. We set the timer for the season and leave notes on changing it through the year.
